Letters From The In-Between: Six Unlocks. No Gatekeeping.

Dearest Reader,

I didn't send a letter last week. Elvis had another seizure. 🎧 Listen to this letter on Spotify or Apple and a reflection at the end.

And I sat with him, I chose him, and I chose me, and I did not write a letter. I did not perform okayness. I did not show up because the calendar said to.

That is the unlock. πŸ”“

The actual lived choice, made in real time, before I could see the reward, before I knew if it was the right thing, while every people-pleasing fiber in me was asking whether I was letting you down.

Real self-love is not a feeling. It is a series of impossible choices you make before you can see what they're worth. And mastering yourself means being willing to make them anyway.

πŸ”‘ Unlock 1: The love you can give yourself is the frequency at which everything else will meet you.

The only unlock you need to master in this life is the understanding and surrender to mastering yourself.

You can only love someone or anything at all as deeply as you love yourself. And if that depth isn't there yet, if you're still trying to fill the gap from the outside, you will always wonder why they're not loving you enough, why you aren't fulfilled. It is not their job to close that gap. It is only yours.

Loving yourself is the scariest thing you will ever have to do because it means choosing yourself in a world that has made you feel like choosing yourself is selfish. You have to choose your boundaries. Honor them. Set them even when every fiber in you is fucking shaking.

πŸ”‘ Unlock 2: Inner conviction is not the absence of fear. It's moving anyway.

It is not just courage you need. It is the inner conviction that when something breaks you, hurts you, disrupts you, it is reminding you that you were ready for the test. That it becomes a badge of honor. Because you are not giving up on the prescription the universe gave you.

You will not always be able to see the reward before you make the choice. You will not always feel ready. The woman on the other side of the impossible choice is the reward. The journey to her is not the obstacle. It is the whole point.

πŸ”‘ Unlock 3: Scattered was never about being multifaceted. It was about staying safe.

I spent years fragmenting myself across ten projects, ten ideas, ten versions of productivity. And for a long time I told myself it was because I was multifaceted which is true, I am, but that wasn't why I scattered. I scattered because I wouldn't say no. Because saying yes made me feel useful. Because if nothing got my full devotion, nothing could fully break me.

Giving yourself away in pieces to everyone who asks is the slowest, quietest form of self abandonment.

This year I made a different choice. I decided to love myself enough to take one vision all the way through, even when it terrifies me. Even when my ADHD brain wants to jump to the next shiny thing.

Mastery requires commitment. And commitment requires self-love deep enough to risk failure.

πŸ”‘ Unlock 4: Every time you put your calendar before yourself, you tell your nervous system you matter less. And it believes you.

If you are burning yourself out at work, telling your nervous system that your employer and your calendar are more important than you, you are abandoning yourself. And self-abandonment will get you everything you thought you needed and leave your soul completely empty.

We did not come onto this earth to be a shell of a human being.

We came here to savor everything life has. And we deserve to.

πŸ”‘ Unlock 5: Another woman is not your competition. Period.

I posted a reel about this recently and I want to say it here because it belongs in writing too.

We spend so much energy watching what other women are doing, measuring ourselves against them, letting their visibility make us feel like there isn't enough room. There is always enough room. The women who are winning are not winning because they took something from you. They are winning because they stopped looking sideways and started going deep.

Go watch the reel.

πŸ”‘ Unlock 6: Not conforming will make you feel like you are doing something wrong in a world that needs to be able to categorize you. Until you get you, no one else really will.

I'm building Build The Dream Collective - a private world for women building lives no one has a category for. The seed was planted with Glow Up Hour and soon I'll share more.

I'm building Build The Dream Ventures - a new frequency of investing.

I've built The Table - the antidote to building in silence.

Every email this quarter is one more unlock. One more piece of evidence that self-love actually works. One more permission slip to take your one thing all the way through.

Because when you love yourself deeply enough to commit fully to what matters, you become someone the world cannot ignore. You become unfuckable with.

And then together, all of us choosing ourselves, all of us building audaciously, all of us refusing to shrink, we become unstoppable.

The unlock is to surrender to mastering yourself first.

Everything else follows.

Until the next letter,

Vanessa
